New opportunities for interactive video with low latency live streaming

We’ve talked a lot in the past about HQ Trivia and how, in some ways, it ushered in a new generation of live mobile entertainment. Since its release, streaming and interactivity have both advanced astronomically. Today, there are exciting developments for live interactive entertainment that have created entirely new opportunities for and beyond mobile trivia games. During TwitchCon 2018, the company announced that from that point forward, they would focus on what they called “multiplayer entertainment” — a way of bringing viewers and content creators together through community tools like chat, interactive panels, and stream overlay extensions.

Today, streaming technology has expanded – anyone can create a high-caliber show with consistent quality and wow-factor elements that only the big guys could access before. Today, the opportunities for e-sports and video game streamers of all sizes couldn’t be more exciting.

3. Live sports

Live sporting events are becoming more popular on digital platforms, as people increasingly watch sports on their mobile devices. This trend is being driven by advances in technology that allow for lower latency, detailed game stats, and gamified experiences that combine trivia with match predictions.

Stadiums are also using technology to enhance the live viewing experience for spectators, who can now choose the camera angle, view dynamic graphics featuring player stats and movement, and easily access game highlights. These developments are helping to bring sports closer than ever to digital viewers.
