You’re a talented iOS developer with a knack for low-level programming using Apple’s video tools (including AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, and CoreMedia). Your job will be to dig around and improve our low-latency video player, with a focus on developing its ability to support synced playback, multi-bitrate video, and interactive overlays. The solutions you develop will be used by all native iOS clients worldwide.
If you’re an iOS developer looking to make an impact, this is the role for you. Your job is to help define the product roadmap, set the foundation, and find the answers to the big questions, like “what is the best architecture to support Livery into the future?”
You will collaborate with the Livery team to integrate the latest low-latency video streaming technology into our native player, and translate general requirements into specific solutions for the iOS ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Objective-C / Swift, a passion for video and live streaming, and a knack for developing iOS solutions using Apple’s video tools (including AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, and CoreMedia).
Livery is bringing forth the next generation of livestreaming. We take traditional live video streams and bring them to life with customizable interactive widgets, allowing the audience to “play along” with the live video stream. Our proprietary software creates a transparent layer that displays interactive widgets on top of the livestream, and our clients (the livestream hosts) can customize when, where, and how these widgets appear to their audience. They can create real-time polls, trivia questions, Q&As, guesstimations, and more to make each and every livestream a memorable and fun experience. There are so many ways to apply the Livery technology – from concerts and seminars to wine tasting and sports betting – the only limit is our creativity. If that sounds like a future you want to be a part of, then apply to join our team and let’s make it happen.
